IDEAS, REPAIRS, PROTOTYPES AND USEFUL THINGS

What can we print for you?

Discover what can be 3D printed, from prototypes and replacement parts to display pieces, gifts and short production runs. Missing a small plastic part? Testing an idea? Planning a prop, display model or small batch? Bring us a file, sketch, broken component or half-formed thought and we will help turn it into something useful.

PRACTICAL POSSIBILITIES

Ideas that suit 3D printing

From one-off fixes to small batches, the best starting point is what the finished part needs to do.

Replacement parts

Clips, covers, brackets, knobs, spacers and discontinued plastic parts. Bring the broken part, measurements or a clear photo and we will tell you what is realistic.

Prototypes and ideas

Test the size, shape and function of an idea before committing to expensive manufacture. We can help choose a sensible material and print orientation.

Workshop aids

Jigs, guides, holders, tool organisers and one-off fixtures designed to make repetitive jobs quicker, tidier or easier.

Props and display pieces

Cosplay parts, models, signage, exhibition pieces and decorative prints, with honest advice about scale, strength, assembly and finishing.

Education and demonstrations

Models that make a topic easier to explain, classroom projects and practical demonstrations for people discovering 3D printing.

Short production runs

Small batches where tooling would be excessive. We will discuss consistency, lead time and whether 3D printing is genuinely the right process.

FILES AND FIRST STEPS

No finished 3D file? No problem

A sketch, broken component, sample, photograph or explanation is enough to start a conversation. If you already have an STL, STEP or 3MF file, even better. We will check it before quoting and flag obvious risks rather than blindly pressing print.

For functional work, we consider load, heat, weather, flexibility, tolerances and surface finish. For display pieces, we look at scale, colour, support marks, assembly and the finish you want.

Useful things to send

✓ The file, sketch or photographs

✓ Approximate dimensions

✓ How the part will be used

✓ Any heat, weather or load involved

✓ Your ideal deadline and quantity

Have an awkward idea?

That is exactly what the conversation is for. We will tell you what is printable, what needs changing and when another manufacturing method would make more sense.
